It is found in grasslands and on farms, where its light serves as a beacon visible from space. Mareep's final form, it can Mega Evolve and awaken dormant dragon blood.

Jasmine's Ampharos lights the lighthouse in Olivine City. While it was sick, Ash and his friends went to Cianwood City for medicine.
Name origin
It looks like a sheared sheep turned lighthouse, with leftover kangaroo traits. Ampharos may blend amp and pharos, the word for lighthouse.
