Arceus looks like a white horse, between a qilin and a centaur. It has gold hooves, green eyes with red pupils, and a golden cross-shaped wheel of green jewels on its belly. It can fly.

Hatched from an egg before the universe, it created the world, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and the lake guardians. It lives beyond time and space, and the visible body may be only a fragment.

Furious with Michina after Damos's unwitting betrayal, it meant to destroy everything. Ash and his friends, sent into the past, made it give up.
Name origin
Its name, identical in French and English, may come from Latin arcanus, “secret,” and deus, “god.”
