Lifestyle
It freezes its breath to lay paths across the ocean and shape fangs harder than steel. A fierce northern hunter, it protects Cubchoo, the Pokémon it evolves from.
In the anime
A Beartic cannot control an overly strong ice breath and freezes everything nearby, until Ash helps it learn restraint.
Name origin
It suggests a polar bear: its flat head and icy beard recall snow-capped mountains. Beartic may combine bear and arctic.
