Lifestyle
Its blasts pierce steel and concrete and launch it into the air; it makes itself heavy to cope. It leads Squirtle and Wartortle and evolves from Wartortle.
In the anime
Gary's, received as a Squirtle from Professor Oak, faced Ash. Tierno's, a gift from Professor Sycamore, evolved later.
Name origin
Ken Sugimori is associated with the design, a turtle mixed with a tank. Blastoise may blend blast and tortoise.
