Its story
Lifestyle
It lights its stick by rubbing it on its tail: the flame attacks and warns of danger. It evolves from Fennekin, then into Delphox.
In the anime
Serena's Fennekin becomes Braixen in a Double Battle against Aria's Delphox. Aria's Braixen had already evolved, then became a Delphox.
Name origin
Tucking the branch into the tail makes a witch's broom. Braixen may blend braise, French for hot charcoal, and vixen.
Did you know?
- The coat recalls the seifuku and Renaissance aristocratic dress; the lower body resembles hose.
- It calls to mind kitsune-mochi, Japanese witches who inherit their powers from foxes.
- The Japanese name Tairenar may join tail and renard, French for fox.
