Lifestyle
One ear stays rolled almost all the time: it unrolls it to strike hard enough to crush boulders. Both ears up mean danger. It lives in forests or icy mountains and evolves into Lopunny.
In the anime
Dawn catches one in the animated series. Later, Lilia's Buneary falls for Clemont's Bunnelby.
Name origin
It is based on a rabbit: the cream fluff below suggests a skirt, and the rolled ear a hat. Buneary may combine bunny and ear.
Did you know?
- Professor Laventon thought the rolled ear protected its hearing.
- Slamming both ears toward the ground lets it jump very high.
