Lifestyle
Its teeth chew solid steel and tear wooden hulls apart, so sailors fear even a dent. In a group of five or more it attacks; alone, it is cowardly. It evolves into Sharpedo.
In the anime
Several Carvanha infest a river Ash must cross to take his sick Corphish to a Pokémon Center.
Name origin
Its body suggests a red-bellied piranha and a naval cannonball. The name Carvanha may blend carnivore and piranha.
