Appearance
Dipplin looks much like Applin, unlike Applin's other Evolutions. Two light-green wyrms with yellow-green undersides share the apple: the head in front, the tail from the core.

Its story
Lifestyle
They coat the apple, layer by layer, in fragrant syrup that captivates and can engulf a foe. A Syrupy Apple found only in Kitakami is said to evolve Applin; Dipplin later becomes Hydrapple.
Name origin
It evokes a worm in an apple and the wyrm, a kind of dragon, hence the Dragon type. It also suggests a festival candy apple; its name may blend di- (double), dip, and Applin.
