Appearance
Eternatus is gigantic, dark violet and red, like a skeletal dragon. Its body resembles a spine, and rib-like parts cage a glowing pink core.

Its story
Lifestyle
It arrived by asteroid about twenty thousand years ago and caused the Darkest Day. Once its power was mastered, it protects Galar, and its particles cause Dynamax there.
In the anime
Goh catches it and entrusts it to Leon. During Ash and Leon's Masters Eight battle, it breaks free, steadies the energy at Wyndon, then returns to watch over Galar.
Name origin
Long ago, terrified people called it only the Darkest Day. Rose coined Eternatus. The French name may evoke Ether, god of the skies, and Thanatos, god of death.

- Rose hoped to use its power against an energy crisis expected in a thousand years.
