Appearance

A humanoid woman with a purple face, pink lips, wide eyes, and long blonde hair. She wears a red gown with two gold rings. The species is female-only.

Lifestyle

It evolves from Smoochum. Its language sounds like speech but is still undeciphered, so it prefers to dance.

In the anime

Several Jynx work at Santa Claus's workshop. One got lost, and Ash helped her get back.

Name origin

Jynx may come from jinx, a curse, and from a Greek nymph who tried to seduce Zeus. The known design dates to about 1992-1993.
