It senses a coming death, steals the spirit, and lurks in deep forests or near hospitals. It evolves from Litwick into Chandelure.

Name origin
It suggests an oil street lamp, will-o'-the-wisps, and a modern Western chōchin-obake; the shade resembles a witch hat. Lampent may combine lamp, lambent, and perhaps lament.
