Its story
Lifestyle
These steel horns can snap an iron beam. A harmless face makes foes careless, then the jaws strike. It lives in caves. Mega Mawile tears prey apart with two pairs of jaws.
In the anime
Samantha's Mawile falls for Brock's Lombre, then loses interest once Lombre becomes Ludicolo. Mabel's Mega Mawile easily beats Korrina's Mega Lucario.
Name origin
The back mouth recalls the futakuchi-onna of Japanese legend. The jaws resemble a bear trap. Its English name may blend maw with wile, or with smile.
Did you know?
- It sometimes sleeps hugging its jaws, and from afar that pose may be a trap.
- It eats disliked food with those jaws, because the horns cannot taste.
- Count Pumpka trades it for Jessie's Pumpkaboo, then takes the evolved Pokémon back.
