Its story

Appearance

A small gray, chinchilla-like Pokémon with fur tufts on its head and neck. Large ears red inside, brown eyes, a dot nose; the tips of its ears and long fluffy tail are white.

Lifestyle

Its tail works like a broom to clean its den, but its fussiness can turn cleaning into a hassle. It evolves into Cinccino and prefers clean habitats.

In the anime

Bianca's Minccino starts out wild: he steals Ash's new Badge case to clean it, and Bianca catches him.

Name origin

Atsuko Nishida designed it with almost no changes, echoing Clefairy and Clefable so everyone would find it cute. Minccino may blend mini, chinchilla, and chino cloth.

Did you know?

Brushing another with its tail is a greeting; the fluffier tail makes one act prouder.
