Its story
Lifestyle
When threatened, Orthworm pounds foes with a flurry of blows from fist-shaped tendrils. It lives in dry deserts, eats soil iron, and sometimes stays buried with only its head showing.
In the anime
One Orthworm first causes trouble aboard the Brave Olivine. Dot defeats it with help from Quaxly and Tinkatink.
Name origin
The design blends an earthworm and a subway train: the segments and ovals look like windows. Orthworm may combine ore, ortho- (“straight” or “upright”), orthoclase, and earthworm.
Did you know?
- It is the only known Pokémon that can have the Ability Earth Eater.
- The giant titan, called the Lurking Steel Titan, feeds on Salty Herba Mystica.
