Appearance
A small round Pokémon like a navy-blue rock with smooth facets, and no face. A yellow six-sided opening is its ear. An oblong brown rock juts from its head; similar brown rocks form its feet.

Its story
Lifestyle
It is born deep underground. Hard as steel, it follows sounds people cannot hear with its single ear and panics if they stop. It evolves into Boldore, then Gigalith.
In the anime
Ash catches one, which later evolves into Boldore. Fourteen Roggenrola targeted by Team Rocket are rescued with help from a fifteenth, one of the group.
Name origin
It appears based on a geode and an elemental creature of earth. Roggenrola may come from rock and rock and roll, or rock-and-roller.
