Appearance
A slender bipedal reptile, mostly green, with a cream belly. A yellow stripe follows its back and tail; yellow leaf-like shapes rise from the shoulders, and a three-pronged leaf ends the tail.

Its story
Lifestyle
Composed and solitary, it wields vines to make up for short arms. Its tail leaf photosynthesizes and speeds it up, then droops when energy runs low. It evolves into Servine, then Serperior.
In the anime
Professor Juniper gives Trip a Snivy as his first partner. It defeats Ash's Pikachu, unable to use Electric attacks, then evolves into Servine.
Name origin
Reiko Tanoue designed it from snakes that resemble vines, and gave it arms and legs so it would look less threatening. The creature is based on a snake.
