Lifestyle
A poor swimmer, it lives in the sea and rolls over ice floes to avoid predators. It evolves into Sealeo, then Walrein.
In the anime
Under Marius, it attacks Ash and Max, mistaken for thieves, and battles Pikachu.
Name origin
It looks like an eared seal and a ball; Sealeo echoes a sea lion spinning a ball. Spheal blends sphere and seal.
Did you know?
- It has been seen clapping while asleep on its back, as if dreaming happily.
- Sealeo often rolls it on the nose to check that it is healthy.
