Its story

Appearance

Swadloon is round and yellow, with short arms, wrapped in a leaf cloak closed to a crescent slit. Two V-shaped leaves sit on its head.

Lifestyle

This cloak keeps it warm, and the top leaves sense the air. It lives on the forest floor, turns fallen leaves into food for plants, and evolves from Sewaddle into Leavanny.

In the anime

Ash's Sewaddle became a Swadloon against Burgh, the species' first appearance, then evolved into Leavanny.

Name origin

Its look suggests an insect pupa rolled in a leaf. Swadloon blends swaddle and cocoon.
