Its story
Lifestyle
Timid, it hides behind illusions and keeps its own type. It evolves into Zoroark. In Hisui, a form reborn from spite evolves into Hisuian Zoroark.
In the anime
Used by Grings Kodai to blackmail its foster mother, a Zoroark, the Zorua escapes, meets Ash, and helps defeat Kodai.
Name origin
Atsuko Nishida designed it from the fox and the kitsune, which changes shape and struggles to hide its tail. Zorua may blend Spanish zorro, "fox."
Did you know?
- An unpracticed Zorua in human form may show its tail; if that tail is touched, the illusion breaks.
- It sometimes appears as a silent child and may stand in for a normally talkative one.
- Hisuian Zorua, with golden eyes, may show someone alone a horrifying copy of their own face.
