Lifestyle
It uses its tail to hang on, pick fruit, and stay put while sleeping, so its real arms grow clumsy. It lives high in the trees and evolves into Ambipom.
In the anime
Aipom steals Ash's hat, follows him, then goes to Dawn because it loves Contests. It evolves into Ambipom against a horde of Unown.
Name origin
Aipom draws on a New World monkey, especially a capuchin and its prehensile tail, plus a cymbal-banging toy. The name blends ape and palm.
