Appearance
Alomomola is a pink fish with a heart-shaped body and darker markings. Its dorsal and ventral fins look like hands, paler at the tips, and it has no true tail.

Its story
Lifestyle
It lives in the open sea and heals injured Pokémon with a membrane, then carries them to shore. Fishermen take it on long voyages instead of a doctor.
In the anime
It is the first Pokémon Ash sees in Unova, and the first non-Legendary of the fifth generation shown on screen. Later, N asks two Alomomola to ease Pikachu's paralysis.
Name origin
The English name is a palindrome, perhaps from aloha, mom, and Mola mola. Its look joins an ocean sunfish with a heart linked to health.

- When it was released, some guessed Luvdisc evolved into it; that never happened.
- It stands for March in the Unova horoscope.
