Appearance
Joltik is a tiny yellow spider Pokémon, about four inches tall, the smallest Electric-type. It has blue cone-shaped feet, four blue eyes, and mandibles that spin silk.

Its story
Lifestyle
Too small to make its own electricity, it clings to larger Pokémon, often Yamper, or draws from sockets. It lives in caves and cities, and evolves into Galvantula.
In the anime
It is mistaken for the lost scalchop of Ash's Oshawott. Angry, sitting on his stomach, it shocks him until removed.
Name origin
Its looks and habit of draining static electricity suggest a tick, perhaps a spider. Its name may combine jolt and tick.
