Its story

Appearance

Araquanid is a spider-like Pokémon with a water bubble around its head. Most of its body is dark gray, with blue eyes, light green legs, and bubbles on the joints.

Lifestyle

It evolves from Dewpider. Its bubble is a shield and a weapon that can suck in and drown small Pokémon, and it carries its young inside to feed them.

In the anime

In its debut, Araquanid lived with its young Dewpider, gave them survival advice, then watched them leave the nest to find other waters.

Name origin

Araquanid may blend arachnid and aqua. It recalls the diving bell spider in reverse, with long skinny legs like a sea spider.
