Its story

Appearance

A small bipedal Pokémon, both reptile and bird. Its large red head is scaled, with blue and red neck feathers, untidy sallow plumage, and blue wings that end in claws.

Lifestyle

Extinct and revived from a fossil, it evolves into Archeops. Its wings are too small to fly: it hops from branch to branch and glides long distances to snatch prey.

In the anime

A female revived by Fennel and Professor Juniper evolves into Archeops before its debut episode ends.

Name origin

The design is based on Archaeopteryx, a dinosaur long thought to be the earliest bird. Archen may combine Archaeopteryx and Archean, a geological eon.
