Its story
Lifestyle
One flipper slap can pierce a tanker. Slow ashore, it drags prey into the sea. It evolves from Tirtouga and is considered extinct.
In the anime
In a flashback, several Carracosta defend young Ferris and a Tirtouga from Archen. Ferris's Tirtouga later evolves after Dr. Zager forcefully revives it.
Name origin
Carracosta may blend carapace with costa, Latin for “rib,” and also suggest coast and assault. The design draws on Protostega, Archelon, and the leatherback.
