Appearance
Bidoof is a brown, short-legged rodent with a dark snout and a small red nose. Cream markings frame its face, and its tail has five tufts on males, three on females.

Lifestyle
It wears down its ever-growing incisors by gnawing wood and rock. Agile despite a naive look, it nests in groups near water and evolves into Bibarel.
In the anime
In the Mystery Dungeon specials, a Bidoof belongs to Wigglytuff's Guild. Others pull three shovels from a Steelix's head with Ash's Staravia and Pikachu.
Name origin
Its look suggests a beaver or a gopher, especially the tailless mountain beaver. The name Bidoof may blend beaver and doofus, slang for a foolish person.
