Appearance
A large grayish-brown bird, close to a raptor, with red eyes and a thin yellow beak. A red-tipped black crest reaches nearly to the beak, and broad white marks cover its throat and chest.

Lifestyle
The final form of Starly, it leaves the flock to live alone and can Mega Evolve. Highly aggressive, it keeps fighting even when hurt and flies easily while carrying other Pokémon.

Ash's Staravia becomes a Staraptor and wins the Squallville PokéRinger against Paul's Honchkrow. A hit from Piplup sets off a gale that wrecks Professor Rowan's lab.
Name origin
It mixes the white-cheeked starling with a bird of prey, such as a hawk or eagle. Staraptor joins starling and raptor.
