Its story
Lifestyle
Its mane stores electricity and flashes to talk to other Blitzle. The charge comes from its heartbeat. It recharges in storms and lives in herds led by Zebstrika, which it evolves into.
In the anime
Stephan's Blitzle battles Ash's Oshawott and makes him drop his scalchop, then loses the rematch. It later evolves into Zebstrika.
Name origin
It may echo Bronte and Sterope, horses of Helios whose Greek names mean thunder and lightning. Blitzle blends Blitz, German for lightning, with little.
