Lifestyle
Proud and intelligent, it stays close only to its Trainer. Males fly faster and females last longer. It evolves from Tranquill, the final form of Pidove.
In the anime
Ash's Tranquill evolves into Unfezant against Skyla's Swanna: the first appearance of the female form. Alain's male ties with Ash's Talonflame.
Name origin
Based on a pheasant, possibly Japan's national bird, the green pheasant, and on the doves of its earlier forms. Unfezant may blend unpleasant and pheasant, and suggest unfazed.
