Its story

Appearance

Breloom is a green biped mixing mushroom, kangaroo, and dinosaur. Its beige head has a green cap, black eyes, a beak, and two red claws on its hands and feet.

Lifestyle

It stretches its arms to punch fast, with springy footwork, and disables foes with spores. Its technique matches professional boxers. It lives in tropical forests and evolves from Shroomish.

In the anime

After Team Rocket steals their food, Breloom attack Ash. May's Combusken fights their leader, then a truce is declared.

Name origin

The design suggests an agaric mushroom and a boxing kangaroo. Its head resembles a kasa, a possible reason for the Fighting type. Breloom may blend umbrella and mushroom; it is an anagram of bloomer.
