Appearance
Budew is a small bipedal Pokémon shaped like a rosebud, with a yellow face and slit-like eyes. It seems to wear a green bib, on stubby triangular yellow feet, with blue-spotted and red-spotted vines.

Its story
Lifestyle
It keeps its buds closed in winter and opens them in spring, releasing poisonous pollen. It lives near clean ponds and evolves into Roselia, then Roserade.
In the anime
Nando sends his Budew against Dawn's Piplup, then against Ash's Pikachu. It evolves into Roselia during that second battle.
Name origin
Budew seems based on a rosebud. Its English name may join bud and dew.
