Appearance
Camerupt is a stout four-legged Pokémon, part Bactrian camel and part cattle. Two gray volcanoes sit on its back, larger on a female, over shaggy red-orange fur with blue rings.

Lifestyle
It lives in volcanic craters and holds lava at about 18,000 °F. When angered, or every ten years, its humps erupt. It evolves from Numel.

Vicky's Camerupt rampages against Ash's Pikachu after a blow to the nose. Vito's Alakazam brings rain before it can reach the vegetable patch.
Name origin
The name Camerupt may join camel and erupt. Japanese Bakuuda may blend bakuhatsu (eruption) and rakuda (camel).
