Lifestyle
Born from underground heat and pressure, it has slept there for millions of years. It polishes gems with its mane and fires beams from its gem and other points of its body.
In the anime
Three Carbink, Bort, Merrick, and Allotrope, appear in the Diancie films, joined by Dace, who seems to lead them.
Name origin
Carbink may blend carbuncle, carbon, carat, and tink. It draws on the carbuncle, a fairy-like creature said to grow gems, and on precious ore.
