Its story
Lifestyle
It lives in the cold in pods of about five and loves minerals in snow. A relative of Wailmer, it left the ocean for land. It fears being alone and evolves into Cetitan.
In the anime
The species debuts when Cetoddle carry tourists at a snowboarding event. Soon after, Grusha's Cetoddle appears.
Name origin
Yusuke Kozaki blends the bowhead, beluga, and narwhal with a toddler learning to walk. Cetoddle may join cetacean with toddle.
Did you know?
- In its sleep it sometimes pounds the ground, as if dreaming the pod left it behind.
- Wailmer is said to have lived on land before the sea, the reverse of Cetoddle.
- Japanese Arukujira may join aruku, “to walk,” with kujira, “whale.”
