Its story
Lifestyle
Its true form is those beads, given life by the envy of people willing to go to war. It swims in lava born when its flames melt rock and sand.
Name origin
The design recalls the goldfish, and the curved beads are ceremonial magatama. Chi-Yu pairs jìyú, the crucian carp from which goldfish were bred, with yù, jade.

- It is the only Fire-type Pokémon with fins.
- Much lighter than the other three treasures: a body of fire weighs nothing.
