Appearance
Ting-Lu is huge, between a deer and a moose, its body layered rock from brown to tan. A large cracked ritual vessel, with antler-like spikes, rests on its head.

Its story
Lifestyle
Its true form is that vessel, given life by ancient human fear. Gently setting its head on the ground opens fissures more than fifty meters deep.
Name origin
It draws on deer and on the dǐng, a Chinese cauldron of imperial power. Ting-Lu pairs dǐng with lù, Chinese for deer, in Wade–Giles.
