Its story
Lifestyle
It lives on the seafloor and clamps prey until it stops moving. Too big for its shell, it evolves into Huntail or Gorebyss.

On Maisie Island, Spoink takes a blue pearl from Isaiah's lab. A conflict follows, and Team Rocket tries to get the pearl too.
Name origin
It suggests an oyster or a giant clam, and perhaps eggs laid in an empty shell. Clamperl may combine clam or clamp and pearl.
