Cresselia has a blue swan-like body with a yellow belly, pink eyes, and a pointed beak. Its glowing pink ring-like wings open at the sides, and it usually floats.

Its story
Lifestyle
It lives on Fullmoon Island and is said to represent the crescent moon. It dispels Darkrai's nightmares, and its Lunar Feathers bring joyful dreams.
In the anime
Team Rocket targets it. Darkrai defends it and is badly hurt; Cresselia heals Darkrai with a lunar dance, then heals itself in the moonlight.
Name origin
Its look suggests a swan, a crane, and the xiānnǚ of swan-maiden tales. The name Cresselia may combine crescent and Selene, the Greek goddess of the Moon.
