Its pouches and fingers hide poison, and it stabs a distracted foe, though it fights only to survive. It lives in swamps and woods and evolves into Toxicroak.

Brock catches one that takes Misty and Max's place. Through Diamond and Pearl, it pulls Brock from each crush with a Poison Jab.
Name origin
Takao Unno designed it after the poison dart frog. Croagunk may combine croak and gunk, meaning grime.
