Appearance
A two-headed, bipedal bird: each head has a long sharp beak and two small black eyes. Bristly brown down covers its body; males have black necks, females brown ones.

Its story
Lifestyle
Its almost nonexistent wings keep it from flying well, but it runs at about one hundred kilometers per hour on the plains. One head stays awake while the other sleeps. It evolves into Dodrio.
In the anime
Otoshi tries to drive off Team Rocket with his Doduo, but the two heads start attacking each other and he has to recall it.
Name origin
Despite its name, it resembles an ostrich more than a dodo, and also the moa, emu, and kiwi. Doduo joins dodo, an extinct bird, and duo.
Did you know?
- Both heads sleep at the same time only when they feel completely safe.
- When running, it leaves footprints about ten centimeters deep.
- Its second head is thought to be a recent mutation.
