Appearance
Dragonite is a bipedal dragon with light orange skin and large gray-green eyes. Two long antennae frame a small horn; its cream belly runs to a long tail, and its wings are small and teal.

Kind and very intelligent, it saves people from drowning and guides ships. It flies faster than sound, lives near the sea, and turns destructive if its home is threatened.

Drake's Dragonite, his ace, beats three of Ash's Pokémon before losing to Pikachu. Ash then wins the Orange League.
Name origin
Dragonite may blend dragon and knight, and echo draconite, a mythical stone found in a dragon's head.
