The final form of Piplup, it evolves from Prinplup. Its wings slice through ice; merciless if its colony is harmed, it avoids needless fights and swims as fast as a jet boat.

With Kai, it battled Dawn's Piplup, then tried to stop Darkrai alongside Allegra's Infernape and Maury's Torterra.
Name origin
Empoleon draws on an emperor penguin and an emperor, possibly Napoleon Bonaparte. Its beak suggests a crown and Poseidon's trident, and the name blends emperor penguin with Napoleon.
