Lifestyle
Loyal and very intelligent, it once guarded the king of ancient Kalos. Only those it trusts may trim it, and cutting the coat makes it swifter.

Princess Allie's Matron Trim battles Ash. Pikachu's Thunderbolt ruins its fur, and she forfeits, refusing to let it fight without looking beautiful.
Name origin
Furfrou may combine fur and frou-frou, meaning fancy or overly elaborate. It is based mainly on the poodle, long tied to grooming and high-status companionship.
