Its story

Appearance

Pangoro is a large, stocky bipedal panda, with a white belly and thick dark gray fur. A cape of that fur makes it look dressed in a coat and trousers.

Lifestyle

Despite a gruff manner, it protects its friends and the weak. Its arms snap a telephone pole, one punch destroys a dump truck, and it evolves from Pancham.

In the anime

A Pangoro watches two mischievous Pancham, and the trio is pulled into a Team Rocket scheme. In a movie, another frees itself from a log to rescue Diancie.

Name origin

Designed by Hitoshi Ariga, it is based on a panda and on banchō, leaders of young delinquents. Pangoro may blend a rogue, a rumbling sound, and panda.

It lives to duel Obstagoon, and anyone who wants to train one must fight it first.
Before Generation VII, only Pancham and Pangoro could learn Parting Shot.
