Folded like a jet, it flies at sonic speed and runs just as fast underground. It lives in volcanic ranges and can Mega Evolve.

Cynthia has owned a female since she hatched as a Gible, and it can Mega Evolve. Ash rides a Garchomp on Ultra Guardians missions.
Name origin
Designed by Takao Unno, it blends kaiju, wyverns, aircraft, and sharks. Garchomp may combine its Japanese name, chomp, and gargantuan.
