Lifestyle
Proud of its body, it bashes others of its kind to prove which is harder. It evolves into Graveler, then Golem. In Alola, a magnetic form draws iron sand.
In the anime
Brock reveals his and uses it through Kanto and Johto. He lends it to his brother Forrest, then takes it back later.
Name origin
A living boulder, it suggests an earth elemental in the spirit of a golem. Geodude joins geo-, meaning earth, and dude.
Did you know?
- People mistake it for a rock, or even use it as a snowball.
- In deep sleep it buries itself halfway and does not wake.
- Its Alolan form and its evolutions are the only Pokémon that can have Galvanize.
