Appearance
Golem is a bipedal tortoise of boulders, shut inside green plates that dynamite cannot scratch. Its light-brown head has a flat snout and red eyes.

Lifestyle
It evolves from Graveler, sheds once a year, and rolls blindly through the mountains. In Alola, grumpy and Electric, it fires a magnetized rock like a cannon.
In the anime
Chopper's Golem battles Ash, and its Poké Ball then burns its trainer's fingers. Giovanni uses one against Gary at the Viridian Gym.
Name origin
The name Golem comes from the golem. It suggests the stone golem, the tsuchikorobi yōkai that tumbles over travelers, and world-bearing tortoises.

- Farmers spread its old shell, turned back into soil, to help crops.
- While asleep, it sometimes rocks upside down and may roll into someone.
