Lifestyle
Light for its size, it clears tall buildings in one jump and damps its flames only for an accepted rider. It evolves into Rapidash; the horned Galarian form stores life energy.
In the anime
Lara Laramie lends one to Ash for the Big P race: it evolves into Rapidash and wins. Chloe helps a Galarian Ponyta heal an injured Galarian Rapidash.
Name origin
Ponyta blends pony with bonita, meaning pretty. It suggests fiery mythical horses and, in Galar, the unicorn, Scotland's national animal.
