Appearance
Grimer is living purple sludge: large eyes, a gray tongue, two three-fingered arms, and no legs. In Alola it is green, with a blue tongue and a yellow sludge line.

Its story
Lifestyle
Born in filthy water, it feeds on wastewater and dies without its germs. Broken-off bits become new Grimer. It evolves into Muk; in Alola it eats solid trash.

As a lost little girl, Erika faced a Grimer until a Gloom drove it away and became her partner.
Name origin
Grimer may come from grime, meaning filth. It suggests living slime born of toxic waste, and Dorotabō, a three-fingered yōkai of neglected mud.
