Lifestyle
It is not native to that ruined Alola: it arrived through an Ultra Wormhole and devoured everything. It eats nonstop, even mountains, and no droppings have ever been found.
In the anime
In the ruined Alola, it attacks Ash: it destroyed Dia's world. Ash and Dia later send it home through an Ultra Wormhole.
Name origin
James Turner is its designer. It evokes Lovecraft, a black hole, and earthmoving machines; Guzzlord comes from guzzle and lord.
